A lovely bright dress, it boasts a beautiful neckline – almost heart shaped. It has an A-Line skirt, as well as a beautiful floral pattern; a repro print from the 50’s. The piping around the bodice gives the dress a nice finish. I opted for a UK10. It’s still a little too big on the shoulders, as well as across the chest area. However, a smaller size would definitely be too small. Perhaps it’s the cut, I’m not sure, but it’s a nice dress anyway.
Another thing I must point out; although this is great for summer, the material a little too heavy, which is not something I expected from my favourite material composition.

Light cotton, this 1950’s vintage inspired blouse is very comfortable. I purchased a UK 12, which is slightly too big (perhaps due to the cut), but it does have a ‘bow’ to the front which solves the issue for me. It teams beautifully with a pencil skirt, if one wishes to wear it to the office. Alternatively, it also goes well with jeans if one is after a more casual look. Lovely staple for any wardrobe/closet.
This Doris Skirt is American made, and features a chic full swing cut, following the style of the 1950’s. Beautiful bright colours and pattern, the skirt has a nipped in waistband and comes with a wide vinyl belt. Can be worn with or without a petticoat. I will say, the waist comes up rather small, so it may be a good idea to go up a size.

This blouse is simply divine. With a silky feel, it’s delicate against the skin. Damson in colour, this beautiful blouse captures the 1950’s style perfectly. Detailed with pearl effect buttons and a pussy bow neckline, it can be worn to work or for an evening out.
I ordered a UK 12 but still found it to be a little too tight across the chest, as there is no stretch in the fabric. The removable ribbon tie was uneven and didn’t ‘sit’ well. However, it could just be the one I received. I decided to keep the top though, as I wear a black spaghetti strap vest top underneath, leaving the top buttons open. Pairs up nicely with either a pencil skirt or a full circle swing style skirt.
Unsure I liked the design, I decided to take a chance and ordered it. The dress is pretty with the blue roses really standing out against the black background. After reading a few reviews on this style, a number stated to go down a size. Taking this advice, rather than ordering a UK size 12 as I normally would to be comfortable across the chest, I ordered a UK size 10. The reviews were right. It fit perfectly. The dress can be worn with a petticoat, although I choose not to.
